I have to tell you something. Throughout the process of interviewing window companies for our replacement problems, Bill and I have tried to be very realistic about what we could afford, what the house commanded and what would fit our taste. TRIED is the operative word. In two years, we saw the mid-to-lower end companies. Last year, the experience left us cold -- so cold we just passed on the entire project and prayed for a mild winter. This year, we were more determined. We stayed away from the "in-your-face" companies and tried some different recommendations. And they were interesting and worth considering.

I DID NOT WANT TO SEE RENEWAL BY ANDERSON! Why? Because I knew that I would not be able to have another window in my house once I saw them. And I also knew that we could not afford them. And -- what I thought would happen, happened! I am in love with those windows. I am in love with the Renewal by Anderson philosophy. I love the look, the care in finding the right window for my little house, the fact that they are built to last, that Renewal makes the windows for my house, that your people install the windows, that your people service the windows. I LOVE EVERYTHING about those blasted windows! And now ... I can't even think about or look at another window. I'm serious . it's a sickness!

So -- what to do. We aren't financially strong. "Recovering" is a word that Bill and I like to use. You suggested that we purchase 1/2 of the windows this year and go for the other half in the following year. Great suggestion! You also added that the cost for the second half would be frozen. Very good. And we would still qualify for the No Cash for 12 months deal. All very thoughtful and helpful.

This brings me to you. You should be proud! You are, by far, one of the most professional, humane, non-judgemental and humorous sales people I have ever had the pleasure to work with! It's a talent -- believe me. One of my best friends has been in sales all his life (long-distance). He rarely works and makes a ton of money. His philosophy is -- make it fun for your prospective buyer. Tim -- you are well on you way to being a great success.

Having said all of this, we will not be purchasing your windows!

Just kidding. Let's get going! Send the papers. I need to know if my credit will hold up for this purchase. I need to know if we need a down-payment. I need to get ready in case there is any hiccup in doing this frightening, nerve-racking but yet exciting project. I need to figure out the schedule. I need to stop thinking about purchasing windows.

I want to figure out what to do about the doors -- or at least one of them.

Too often the guys that do all the work in a company like Renewal by Andersen receive very little recognition for a job they have done well. I am writing to tell you, as the sales person for the job, how pleased we are with the work performed by your installation crew, who installed the new windows at my son and daughter-in-law’s home in Russell Township this past week.

It was my pleasure to get to know Dave and his crew, and even offer and extra hand when asked, during the two days they were installing windows at my son and daughter-in-law’s home this past week. Dave, Bill and Mike obviously work well together and I enjoyed getting to know them – they even shared some of the nut roll made by Bill’s mother with me! My daughter-in-law, Megan, was quite impressed with how clean the four rooms that they worked in were after the job was completed.

Just a note to tell you that we were extremely pleased with the installation of our replacement windows. The installer was more that competent, he did a very professional job, staying with it until the end, which was after 7:00pm.

He was very careful when working outside in the shrubbery and was a real craftsman with the finishing that he did inside. I would not hesitate to recommend the installer and his experience.

You can certainly be confident when you send a person with such a work ethic and degree of skill to do your installations. Having installers of their caliber definitely speaks well for your reputation. You can add us to your list of satisfied customers.

P.S. Was also impressed that our window consultant called the next day to ask if everything was satisfactory! He promised a different handle for the casement window would be in our mailbox the next day and it was! Excellent service!

I recently had my windows replaced by Renewal and I cannot tell you just how pleased I am with the finished product. I am very impressed with the entire process, from the salesman that assisted and educated me in the windows that I selected, to the gentlemen that installed the windows. The window consultant is in fact quite an impressive salesman. He presented himself as a highly confident man, and his knowledge about his product was/is excellent. This is only surpassed by what a nice person he is. He has been available to me every step of the way, from the time he first visited to introduce the product to me and he still is!

I also would like to comment on the gentlemen that did the installation. The installation crew were extremely professional and quite pleasant. All three men were very hard working and truly seem to enjoy what they are doing. I was very delighted in the manner in which they conducted the clean-up process. They were very detailed and attentive in each task that they performed.

I am so very happy with my new windows. Not only have they enhanced the appearance of my home, the cross-flow of air throughout my home is amazing. I have already had several compliments on my new windows, and will recommend Renewal with the highest regard. Last week I had all new windows put in by your company. It is hard to have strangers invade your home for one day, but for three days, I was not looking forward to. I just wanted to say that your guys made this a very pleasant experience. I couldn’t have asked for more polite gentlemen. They not only did excellent work, but in a neat and timely manner. They were concerned that I approved of all the work that was completed. After the job was done, my salesman, (who by the way, was the only salesman that came to my house knowledgeable not only about his product but all the others) called to make sure that I was happy.

I just wanted you to know that Jeff and I are absolutely thrilled with the windows and your company. When we placed the order we knew we were investing in the best windows available in the market. What we did not realize was the degree of professionalism and manner in which your company conducts itself. On the day of installation, my sister told me how courteous the men were who installed the windows. They took extra care to expose the window opening for the shortest amount of time necessary as it was extremely cold and our three-year-old daughter was at home. The crew took particular care to be neat and clean, including protection of the carpeting and cleaning the windows after installation.

I just wanted you to know how satisfied we are and would be happy to refer any customer to you and your company. On April 17th this year we had ten replacement windows installed by representatives of yours. What an enjoyable experience it was.

Our sales representative was courteous and helpful. We had to have one screen delivered to us beforehand so that it could be wired for the security system. This extra task was not a problem for the installer, a delightful person.

On installation day the installers showed up early and worked late to get he entire job done in a single day. They were professional in their work and as neat as pins. After they left there were ten new windows and virtually no debris left behind. The installation crew are to be commended.

The installer, who did the staining, took the time necessary to do a beautiful job. It was a delight having him on our premises.

So, in retrospect it was a pleasure. Now days it is difficult for one to find truly caring, professional and knowledgeable people when dealing with service reps. Rest assured that we will recommend Renewal by Andersen whenever the opportunity presents itself.

This summer, after living in our home for over 10 years, my husband and I decided to replace eight original windows in our 62-year-old Bay Village home. The prospect was daunting; several different salespeople from assorted companies came to see us, and spent several hours showing us cheesy-looking windows and high-pressuring us to order that evening. We almost cancelled the project because we couldn’t deal with another four-hour sales call.

Then, a window consultant from your company came to see us. Without a lot of time, rhetoric, or flamboyance, he showed us a beautiful window with quality features. His straightforward demeanor and confidence is his product convinced us to hire your company to replace the windows in our home. We wrote a check and crossed our fingers. Hopefully, his assurances of his company’s performance were more than a smoke screen.

Yesterday, the installation crew arrived to install the windows. The installation was customized to our home’s needs and flawless in its execution. the installation crew were competent, professional, friendly, and accessible at all times. They answered questions patiently and completely, and they made sure that we understood exactly how to use and maintain our new replacement windows. Since it turned out that they didn’t have to remove the exterior shutters, they even called the company and removed a $140.00 charge! Then they cleaned up all traces of their visit, and wished us joy with our new windows before leaving.
